ISK-SODEX 2008
ISK-SODEX 2008 has been held between the dates of 8th - 11th of May at CNR Expo, İstanbul World Trade Center. Besides being the biggest trade fair of Eurasian Region, ISK-SODEX is also the 3rd biggest trade fair of its kind in the world. Opening ceremony of ISK-SODEX 2008 was attended by Zafer Çağlayan - Minister of Commerce&Industry, Andreas Gruchow - Deutsche Messe AG Member of the Board, Zeki Poyraz - President of the TOBB Climatisation Assemblee, Metin Duruk - Vice President of the TOBB Climatisation Assemblee, President of the Society of Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning & Sanitary Engineers and Murat Demirtaş- HMSF , President of the Board HMSF.
801 direct exhibitors have exhibited their products and services on 51.211 sqm. of net display area covering 11 halls of CNR Expo - İstanbul World Trade Center and 2 temporary buildings which were built for this exhibition. 1347 firms in total have been represented at the fair; 801 firms exhibited directly and 131 of them were international exhibitors.
EXHIBITORS
The number of direct exhibitors have been raised to 801 in 2008 which was 735 in 2006. Beside this, the number of direct international exhibitors increased to 131, which was 83 in 2006.
The exhibition, with its 1347 exhibitors from 37 countries, (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brasil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Great Britain, France, Germany, Greece, India, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malaysia, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, USA) has been an international meeting point for all professionals, importers and exporters from all around the world.
ISK SODEX 2008 where all expectations of exhibitors and professional visitors were met, gave to its exhibitors and visitors the advantage to see scientific and technological developments at the same time and place.

During ISK-SODEX 2008 exhibition through the coordination of Undersecreteriat for Foreign Trade, Central Anatolian Exporters Union General Secreteriat (OAIB) has organized a Buyer's Delegation Programme between the dates May 6-10, 2008 via participation of company representatives from USA, Albania, Bulgaria, Belarus, Morocco, The Philippines, Iran, Kuwait, Libya, Egypt, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Georgia, Croatia, England, Israel, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Greece. The proffessionals applied to their Turkish commercial councellors within their countries and were granted the opportunity of free accommodation, thus; were encouraged to visit the exhibition.

CONCLUSION
ISK-SODEX trade fair which has a tradition of breaking the records in numbers of the previous fair has renewed its success once more. Exhibitors have been satisfied with the fair and the services, established new business contacts and reached to the opportunity of integrating new markets.
Exhibitors have taken the fair into consideration as a great investment and claimed that they will exhibit the next ISK-SODEX with bigger booth areas.
