ENERGY INDUSTRY HAVE MET IN RENEX 2009, TURKEY

RENEX 2009 Renewable Energies exhibition which was opened by Turkish Republic and Switzerland Energy Ministers have led the industry to meet in Turkey. 17.258 visitors have visited the Clean Energy Technologies exhibition.

RENEX 2009 Renewable Energies organized by Hannover Messe-Sodeks Fuarcılık A.S. was held in Istanbul Expo Center/ CNR Expo/ Hall 1. RENEX 2009 Exhibition which was held in Turkey for the first time has led the Technologies of clean energy technologies to meet with Turkish investors and industrialists. In the panels and forums that were held simultaniously with the exhibition; the importance of renewable energy sources and technology were conveyed. The exhibition which was supported largely by the Swiss and German governments had 17.258 visitors. Especially individuals that want to use wind energy had great interest in the exhibition.

Republic of Turkey Energy Minister Mr. Taner Yıldız, Switzerland Head of Environment, Transportation, Energy and Communication Mr. Moritz Leuenberger and North Westfalia Economy, Small and Medium Sized Companies and Energy Ministry Associate Counceller Eng. Dr. Heinz Baues were present and the industry representatives have had important opportunities.

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yıldız that attended the opening ceremony has given the good news that tariffs for Renewable Energy Legislation will be realized soon, and stated: "Important Agreements and important investments are done during exhibitions. Leaving a clean country for next generations is only possible through clean energies. If we do not support green energy the precautions we take for climate change will not be enough. Technology will turn to investment together with know-how. Turkey has a potential of 44.000 megawatt wind, geothermal and solar energy. Together with Renewable Energy Legislation and Energy Efficency Legislation we have indicated our preferances. Next step is realizing them."

Switzerland Head of Environment, Transportation, Energy and Communication Mr. Moritz Leuenberger stated that enviromental and climate change are the biggest challange of the earth thus they are in Renex 2009 to make fare agreements, fair projects for next generations.

North Westfalia Economy, Small and Medium Sized Companies and Energy Ministry Associate Counceller Eng. Dr. Heinz Baues has stated the importance of cooperations in the field of energy : " We apply these Technologies to survive. Our priority is to decrease carbonmonoxide emmision by 28%.

Chairman of the Board of Hannover-Messe Sodeks Fuarcılık A.Ş. , Murat Demirtaş has stated that even though investments started rather late there would be fast integration with green energy.

RENEX 2009 main themes consisted of renewable enery sources; wind, solar and geothermal, biomass Technologies and is organized by Hannover-Messe Sodeks Fuarcılık A.Ş who is a partner of Deutche Messe AG.

The exhibition was held on 12 thousand sqm, had 130 booths and approximately 300 companies. International pavillions were organized for companies mainly for Germany and Switzerland than for China, Canada, Greece, Austria and England.

Main sponsor of the exhibition Şekerbank exhibited to support the investments for energy efficency through Eco Credit. They introduced Renewable Energy Credit and the chance to apply for that.

Exhibited Product Groups
Solar energy systems, wind energy systems, geothermal systems, heat pumps, bio-fuel, water treatment, water and fluid control technologies, energy efficient systems, cogeneration systems, waste water treatment, recycle and environmental technologies, test and control devices.

Clean Energy was also discussed in the meetings
Through the exhibition Clean energy was discussed deeply in the forums and meetings organized by German and Swiss representatives. Clean Energy Discussion that was held in Dunya Hall on November 7, between 16:00 - 17:30 mainly about solar and clean energies, applications in Turkey, their problems and future perspectives. Dr. Baha Kuban, Advocate Asli Aydınöz, Electronics Engineer Fatih Kavaslar, Chemical - Enviroment Engineer Ateş Uğurel and Architect Dr. Mehmet Bengü Uluengin has attended as speakers.

During the exhibition 4th Turkish German Energy Symposium " Renewable Energies and Efficient Energy Use" and Cooperation Meetings and 5th Swiss - Turkish Economy Forum " Renewable Energy Resources , Energy Efficency and Sources meetings were held. As a result of the meetings German and Turkish company representatives have had match-making meetings through November 7th, Saturday.

In Renex 09, Indian Trade Delegation supported by Indian Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has visited the exhibition and had mutual meetings with industry representatives and companies.
