The greatest organization of HVAC&R industry in 2007, Sodex Antalya, transforms expectations and needs to opportunities at Antalya, being the tourism capital of Turkey. Hannover Messe Sodeks Fuarcılık A.Ş. has brought dynamism to the region since 2001 with the organization of Sodex Antalya exhibition and it has answered the great demand coming from the sector. This year, we are proud to announce that “Sodex Antalya” and “Climate 2007 National Air-Conditioning Congress” organized by Antalya Chamber of Civil Engineering Chamber will be held together. TOURISM AND INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENTS

Antalya started to emerge by 1980’s and then it has become the center of Turkish tourism sector. To date, the city serves to Turkish tourism indusrty with its four houndred thousand bed capacity. 5 star hotel fertile city hosts 40% of the tourists coming to Turkey. The value of the tourism investments that have been made to this field has reached to 30 billion USD. Antalya, the Turkish Riviera, accommodating approximately 5 million tourists yearly contributes around 5 billion USD to the Turkish economy every year.

BOOMING CONSTRUCTION SECTOR

Antalya, due to the mass migration to the city, will add eight hundres thousand new habitants to its population. Taking into consideration this considerable population growth, 2.5 million meter square increase in construction field is expected as a normal growth. Besides this, it is also expected that the tourist number accommodated in Antalya will reach to 9 million and one hundred thousand new flats will be constructed within 10 years time. In order to protect the city’s beauty and tourism sector from the negative effects of this significant construction and immigration flow, it is planned to found a new and modern second Antalya at the north side.

Antalya, with its natural and historical beauties and its Mediterranean climate, is attracting both local and foreigner investors with its various real estate alternatives. Today there are more than 10.000 families habited in Antalya. In addition to that number, an increasing number of people from many different countries such as Germany, United Kingdom, Netherland and Russia tend to buy summer houses in this beautiful city. Due to the said reasons, Antalya is the fastest growing city of Turkey and it is estimated that this high foreigner interest will continue within the next ten years.

Antalya provides 85% of the hothouse production of  Turkey. 84% of glass hothouses are present in Antalya. The city also ranks as the first in the holding of the plastic hothouses. In order to protect this considerable production from cold, there is a strong need for technological and modern heating systems. As the pioneering exporter of fresh flower and citrus fruits, Antalya’s need for improved industrial ventilating increases each day in order to protect the freshness of these high quality products.
