Russia, with an area of 17 million km2, is the largest country in the world together with  a population over 143 million. The country is very rich of raw materials such as oil, natural gas and mine. In previous years, Russia's economy benefited a lot from rising oil and gas  prices. Today, Russia  is the 10th biggest economy in the world. If the current growth rate is sustained, the country is expected to become the second largest European economy after Germany and the sixth largest in the world within a few years.

Russian construction sector has been improving since the beginning of the new millennium. On one side, the need for renovation of the old buildings, houses, schools, hospitals, and on the other side the new considerable projects such as 5 star hotels, shopping malls, skyscrapers, skiing centers, infrastructure investments and luxury houses push the need for HVAC&R appliances. Needless to say, HVAC&R has a crucial role in all construction projects. Except being a huge market, Russia plays a key role for the companies willing to achieve global success.
